  3. For the most part, the missions in the new game are the same as the missions in the old game. What is different, in most cases, are the rewards. I have compiled, and am compiling, a .csv of the missions location; mission giver; latitude;longitude;type;name;cash reward; and XP reward. For the new "Local bounty detected", or "additional assignment received" missions, the kill X MOB's in a circular area missions, I'm developing a separate list that adds the radius of the circle, (location and radius are approximate in this case,) and the listed objective, while omitting the mission giver. I won't swear this list is complete. I suspect not. I tried to find all the items and mission givers, but might have missed one of the dropped ones, or one of the local bounty zones. I'll eventually compile one for Shadowy Forest and Carpathian Fangs, but jotting all this information down distracts significantly from the game, so I think I'll post this, and then play the game, for its own sake, for awhile. Just change the extension from .txt to .csv and it should open in any spreadsheet. Specify the semicolon as the column separator. It should even be script-friendly, if you wanted to use it to generate new information for the old missions. TSWL rewards Besieged Farmlands.txt TSWL rewards Besieged Farmlands Local Bounties.txt P.S. I didn't include the patron 10%. This is just what is listed as the offered reward at the start of the mission, or in the case of the Local Bounties area missions, the reward listed upon completion. P.P.S. I included the one London mission, rather than make a separate file of one mission.
  4. When I ran this recently I noticed that when I arrived at the hellscape area I was told visual tracking had been enabled. The usual blue glow didn't appear but small fiery red glows did appear leading to the area behind the taverna. It's not as obvious as the others and it isn't until I was by the taverna that I noticed them. They're pretty easy to miss.
  5. Not sure whether it's changed, or not. No Brazier that I recall, but only done SWL. What fooled me here was Entering hell, you don't use the Dungeon Entrance. There's a "Special" Mission entrance, behind the Abandoned Taverna. Once I found that entrance, the rest was obvious.
  6. Trickster: Which Pistol skills?

So, I'm playing around with Trickster and enjoying the Chaos part of the build, but I'm having trouble with the Pistol half. In the beta, I played Gunslinger and put together a Pistol-heavy build that stacked the Beginner's Luck with a bunch of the extra-hit-on-attack-when-cylinders-match passives and then used Full House -> Unload/Controlled Shot for a huge amount of front-loaded damage. It was a pretty fun build to play that left enough active slots to take CQC for crowd control in addition to the Shotgun Power Attack I used whose name I can't remember now. However, I can't find a fun way to incorporate Pistols as a secondary weapon, in part because Chaos has so many good actives and the Paradox mechanic rewards using Chaos skills repeatedly. The best thing I can think of so far is to take Flechette Rounds to keep up AoE damage while weaving a single-target Power Attack like Dual Shot into my Chaos rotation for Energy conservation. And then maybe I can put the cleanse on my bar once I get to zones that have a lot of status effects. Does anyone else have a better idea of how to use Pistols in a Trickster builds?
  7. Story Night

    until
Story Night When: Saturday August 5, 2017 from 2pm-5pm EDT Where: Axel’s in Agartha, around the fire pit. What it’s about: Hello and welcome all SWL players and roleplayers! This will be the first of a monthly recurring event to encourage new roleplayers and the rp-curious and allow people who want to share short vignettes, poems, cautionary tales, original works, et cetera. A long time ago, a friend named Shaw introduced me to roleplaying in a video game by hosting a recurring Story Night, where people would gather and take turns telling short stories and tales of their adventures! People came and went and either listened respectfully or told a story to the assembled. We even had theme nights for tales of love, horror, poetry nights, etc. It was a lot of fun. I’d like to honor his legacy by starting this event in SWL. My goal is to continue to have both SWL and the wonderful roleplaying community thrive and grow, as well as have fun telling and listening to stories. I look forward to having theme nights in the months to come if this first one is a success! September should be a Lore...ahem, Legendary tale night and October will of course be tales of terror. There are only a few rules for story night: Be respectful of the speaker who currently has the floor. Be respectful of the listeners who are trying to enjoy the speakers. The gathering is a peaceful one. There should be no open hostility. We’re all there for the same purpose. The host is there to facilitate the gathering. The speaker will change as the host gives them charge of the gathering. If you have a story to share: Try to post it in digestible blocks, about a sentence or two at a time to simulate storytelling. Give room for feedback. People like to interact in between parts of a story. Keep your story to about 10-15 minutes maximum! That way we can get several people up to speak. Remember to signal the end of the story and then please go take your seat so the Host can pick the next storyteller. I am looking forward to this gathering and I hope to see you all there! Thank you! PS- Filler picture until I get a better poster made!

  9. How can we helpTSWDB?

Quick question; I've used TSWDB as my source of all things TSW for quite sometime. With the relaunch, I see the mountain of work ahead of you to update/check existing guides to make sure they are applicable to current mission structure... Is there anything we can do to help? Are there specific formats (checked the tsw guide tutorial, link is broken) (for missions/builds/etc)?
  10. I'm in Shadowy Forest Trying to do Trial of the Dragon, I'm on tier 3 Trial of fame, in previous version of the game there was a brazier that I had to use to take the trial, unfortunately that Brazier is missing, I'm not sure if that it's just bugged of if said Brazier has been moved. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  12. Newbie: Tank weapon

Personally, I like Hammer/Chaos so far, both for soloing and as a good candidate combination for tanking. You have good damage output at the same time as having access to high hate abilities to keep aggro. There are also good several abilities that can apply Exposed / Debilitated. And you also don't have to worry too much about the weapon gimmicks, which is nice since tanks often have a lot of other things to concentrate on. Chaos just works automatically and while Hammer benefits from some attention to the Rage metre, it's hard to get it wrong or screw up too much, unlike with a lot of the other weapon gimmicks.
  13. Newbie: Tank weapon

First of all, AR/Chaos isn't really viable. Chaos/AR might be, but IMHO AR doesn't really bring anything to the table and takes up a precious slot if you want to use its grenades. That being off the table, you are picking between Hammer/shotgun and Shotgun/chaos. I'd personally go for hammer/shotgun, mainly to avoid having to reload too often which triggers an annoying GCD which leaves you unable to interrupt anything. With shotgun as a secondary you can do thirty second rotations with just one reload, or using the passive combat reload you can tank without reloads! Also tanking with the hammer PBAOE will be easier than with shotgun's blasts for your basic skill. And burning wrath (5e power ability) combines well in terms of rotations with rocket pod, and rocket pod has a nice passive which can net you a nice damage reduction (26% without diminishing returns accounted for). And with that said, it also is a starting class which makes it very easy to roll. You can roll shotgun/hammer until you got the AP to flip to hammer/shotgun, which is doable by the end of KM.
  14. Newbie: Tank weapon

Hello, I will start this evening and i would like to know which class for is Good for tanking ? My choice : - full punisher: Hammer/shotgun - Shotgun/chaos (beginning Punisher or Trickster) - AR / chaos (maybe not viable in SWL) Which one is better for begenning/solo and endgame. I heard which shotgun is good for solo but the other ? Sincerly.

My privilege to join Sanctuary to play along with you fellow Sanctuary members of TSWL Thank you for invitation. I see you TSWL (reboot). TSWL Characters: Marcus "Ryan" Phoenix (Illuminati)

  20. Looking to buy 2 pets

So I have 2 friends who just got into TSW (and will move over to SWL). I have tossed them most types of aesthetics except pets and mounts. I have a purple item from a gym bag (Orochi blacksox ... Something I forget) and 3 million pax to spend. Looking to buy 2 pets (mounts would be a swell bonus). Willing to sell or trade my purple item (unless I find pets first, then willing to give). Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks! Sorry for the weird situation.
